Following the Ukraine invasion on the 24th of February 2022,
TrustBridge activated its Rapid Response Fund. In this post, we are providing an update on the funds raised and help given to date. In the coming weeks we will share more information and stories from our partners.

Resources mobilized

TrustBridge has joined with partners and charities in multiple regions in and around Ukraine. To date, TrustBridge has received SFr 5.4M ($5.6M USD) and granted out SFr 4.9M ($5.1M USD)

This interesting visualization (also shown below) helps you see some of the charities responding on the ground and their activities. Many of these charities are recipients of grants from the Rapid Response Fund or our partners. You can explore videos and reports of the activities on the ground as real-time relief and support are given.

The fundraising window for the TrustBridge Rapid Response Fund will be closing on April 20, 2022 as the rapid response transitions to ongoing relief work. The remainder of the funds in the Rapid Response Fund will be distributed in the next several weeks. Ongoing support for charities in the region is encouraged and TrustBridge Global stands ready to help donors and charities in an ongoing basis.

RELIEF and support provided

War separates but love unites! We are honored to be there among refugees and to be able to express God’s love in practical ways. Thank you for all your prayers and support!” - Team in Moldova, March 28.

To date, our grantees have successfully accomplished:

30,000+ people evacuated from active conflict areas in Eastern Ukraine, including: Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mariupol, Irpin, Donetsk, and other areas. This includes 700 deaf people and hundreds of children from foster care or orphanages.

2,000+ tons of food delivered into areas without access to basic supplies

Countless examples of generosity and humanity, from teams on the ground, giving hope and comfort to the people of Ukraine.

Additionally, we are also seeing incredible collaboration amongst charities and across borders. Multiple organizations have partnered up with churches and organized warehouses in Poland. Several organizations are distributing supplies into Ukraine and supporting refugees in Moldova. The Moldovan authorities have set up the Common Christian Center, a collaborative group sharing information and resources and offering a hotline phone number.

A brief note about TrustBridge’s role:

TrustBridge Global Foundation can receive donations from virtually anywhere in the world in any currency. The TrustBridge team relies on the panelists for recommendations on the grants and performs comprehensive due diligence on all charities it grants to.
