Johan is the Chairman of the Tree of Life Foundation that provides sustainable funding to charities through an actively managed endowment fund and also operates a South African donor-advised fund platform. He is the founder and CEO of the investment company, SAAD Investment Holdings, and has previously served as CEO of listed and unlisted companies in the pharmaceutical (Cipla), asset management (Glacier by Sanlam), financing (Quince Capital) and medical insurance industries (Sanlam Health).
