1. About this policy
TrustBridge Global Foundation ("TrustBridge", "we", "us" or "our") is a Swiss tax-exempt charitable foundation (Stiftung). This policy applies to the public-facing website at trustbridgeglobal.com, including public language, country and resource pages that link to it (the "Public Site").
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. Our Global Data Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data, including legal grounds, disclosures, international transfers, retention and privacy rights.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small data files stored on or read from your browser or device. Session cookies normally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date or until you delete them. First-party cookies are set through the Public Site; third-party cookies are set or accessed by another provider whose technology we use.
Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, tags, scripts, local or session storage, device or online identifiers, software development kits, embedded content and fingerprinting. In this policy, "cookies" includes these similar technologies.
Depending on the technology, data may include an IP address, cookie or device identifier, browser and operating-system information, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, timestamps, interactions, errors and privacy choices. We do not intend to collect identity documents, bank details or other highly sensitive material through cookies.
3. Categories and purposes
We group the technologies used on the Public Site as follows:

If one technology serves more than one purpose, we place it in the most protective category and do not use it for an optional purpose without the required choice.
4. Consent and Cookie Settings
Swiss law, including the Federal Act on Data Protection and Article 45c of the Telecommunications Act, is our primary framework. EU ePrivacy and data-protection rules, UK privacy and electronic-communications rules, and other local laws also apply where their requirements are met. We apply the stricter applicable standard where rules differ.
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where an applicable exception allows them. As our conservative global default, all other categories remain inactive until you make an affirmative choice. We do not treat silence, continued browsing or a preselected option as consent. Reject Non-Essential is offered as readily as Accept All, with granular choices available through Cookie Settings. Access to core Public Site content is not conditioned on accepting optional technologies.
Your choice applies to the purposes and providers selected for that browser or device. You may withdraw or revise it at any time through the persistent Cookie Settings control. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, but optional technologies will be stopped or blocked for future activity where technically possible. We may ask for a new choice if technologies or purposes materially change or the preference record expires.
5. Current cookie register, duration and retention
The Cookie Settings panel on the Public Site is the current technology-level register and forms part of this policy. It identifies each cookie or similar technology by name, provider, category and purpose; indicates whether it is first-party or third-party; states its session or persistent duration; and provides the available control. No optional technology should be activated unless it appears in that register and is governed by the visitor's choice.
We keep cookies only for the duration shown in Cookie Settings and no longer than reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. Related server-side logs, analytics outputs and consent records may be retained separately for security, accountability, reporting or legal needs as described in the Global Data Privacy Policy. If Cookie Settings is temporarily unavailable, optional technologies should remain disabled.
6. Third parties and embedded content
Authorized providers may set or access technologies to host, secure, operate, measure or support the Public Site. Some act only for TrustBridge; others may determine their own purposes and act as separate or joint controllers. Cookie Settings names the relevant provider and, where appropriate, links to its privacy information.
Videos, maps, social-media features and other embedded content may allow the provider to learn that you visited a page or interacted with the content, particularly if you are signed in to that provider. We use consent controls, privacy-enhanced modes or a just-in-time choice where practicable. If you follow an ordinary link to another website, that website's own policies and controls apply. International processing and transfer safeguards are described in the Global Data Privacy Policy.
7. Browser controls and U.S. opt-out signals
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser or device settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent requested features from working. Choices are generally browser- and device-specific, so you may need to repeat them after clearing cookies or when using another browser or device.
TrustBridge does not sell personal data for money or exchange donor lists for value. Where an online disclosure is legally treated as a sale, sharing, targeted advertising or similar activity, we provide the required opt-out and honor legally recognized universal opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the relevant browser or device. A general Do Not Track signal is handled only where applicable law recognizes it or Cookie Settings states otherwise.
8. Changes and contact
We review this policy and our cookie inventory regularly and update them when technologies, purposes, providers or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice or request a renewed choice for material changes. This policy is informational and is not made binding merely through continued website use.
